OK, so I'm a slacker! Taya's 1st birthday was the 24Th of August and I am just getting around to blogging about it. For those of you who don't know, my sister Tori and I have the same birthday which was the 21st of August and Tori's son's birthday is the 26Th. So we got together at Tori's for one big bash.
My attempt at making a fondant cake. Kenny called it my 6 hour cake! It took a long time. I think it turned out ok for my first one!
that was all she wanted. She got mad when we tried to get her to open her other presents. She just wanted to push her stroller.

The next morning she got up and realized she got more then the stroller. She saw her baby in the baby bed that Grandma and Grandpa Pearce gave her and got so excited. She sat and played with/ talked to it for a long time. She also got a puppy and block from Mom and Dad

On her birthday, which was 2 day's later then the party we had at Tori's. Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson and Randy came over to celebrate. We ate some cake and ice cream and Taya opened her presents. She got a cute rocking chair (which she is sitting in, in the picture above) clothes, a baby and flip flops from Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson. Her favorite present DRUM ROLL please....Flip flops. Funny huh?! I will put them on her feet and she will walk a little ways then they will fall off and she gets mad and brings them to me to put back on. Grandma Jacobson says she is like her..she loves shoes!
It's crazy to think that at this time last year she was sleeping, pooping and eating. Now she is walking around, gives kisses, says Mom, Daddy, Hiiii, and her favorite word, More! She has 6 teeth...wait My sister informed me yesterday she is working on her 7th! I am such a duh sometimes! Thanks Aunt Tori for the info!
Her 1st birthday went well and we were glad to celebrate it with her and all who came to the parties! Thanks everyone for coming and the presents that you gave to Taya and I!
